It is made up of a checkered pattern and has a white riband around it showing the colors of the city and its club. ![]() It stands tall and proud, free from adversity, not folding or curling or anything, just standing tall and proud. The collar is something to admire, it really is. The crest itself is taken from the City of Manchester's own crest, giving the club a deep bond with the citizens, giving birth to the popular nickname, the citizens. There are three stripes in the crest the eagle holds on its chest, signifying the three major rivers of the glorious City of Manchester, where the club takes its name, the rivers being the Irk, Irwell, and Medlock. Above the aforementioned eagle floats three gold stars, five-pointed in nature, that have an obscure meaning, some fans saying they are for the three different cups City have won, and the club's jealous rivals saying it means the three decades City went without a major trophy. Speaking of that, the club's main sponsor, Etihad Airways, has its emblem on the chest of the jersey, signifying the close bond between that airline and the club, something that made last year's victory possible. A gallant eagle with her golden wings stretched out to the sides, with brilliant detail outlining the pride and superior craftsmanship the kit's maker, Umbro, has put into it, another thing that occupies space, something that corporate financiers try to do to get their company out there in this day and age. It's a proud jersey, its sleeves or arms folded in defiance of the perceived norm of the footballing world, that United will win all the time, and it has a wonderful, calming sky blue color and hue about it, something which the club is known for, a prideful symbol of sorts. One of my most cherished possessions is my prized jersey of the 2011-12 Barclays Premier League winning side Manchester City. You know, most of the time, when people write papers and essays describing something, it's usually something along the lines of a room filled with billions of things, a person that did something good, or an important historical event. ![]() ![]() I was to write something really descriptive about one object, and as it so happens, I thought of one of my most prized possesions. ![]()
